So I recorded for ten more minutes.

Nothing.

Recording stopped, I leaned forward to start another ten-minute recording.

And in the instant I leaned forward, neighborlady cackled.

Two seconds too late to tape.

Coincidence?

I've set another ten-minute recording going. It's got maybe one minute left. So far it is devoid of the sound I am attempting to record.

One cackle in half an hour, and it happens to fall within the perhaps ten seconds total during which I'm not taping.
