I also did like the Spock-meets-the-80s bit, too. "Colorful metaphors", indeed.

But Voyage Home was like what you'd get if you took the Star Trek characters and their technology and made them into a non-science-fiction comedy. Wrath of Khan had more of the serious Star Trek flavor I prefer. =D
