Wow, I'm an idiot. Here I've been wondering why, after spending $9.50 on it, I never got my Case of Atlantis preorder (complete with stickers and stuff that I was hugely looking forward to). The answer is: I am too stupid to actually have it shipped to the right address.

Good job, self. Way to spend money you didn't have on something that you'll never even get.

It might've gotten returned to Topatoco, in which case I could maybe pay to have it shipped out again, but A) it actually got shipped to Dyckford Commons which means most likely whoever actually got it just burned it and danced cackling around the flames; B) right now I don't even have enough money to buy a candy bar, let alone to pay for reshipping; and C) like I'm going to admit to Jeffrey Rowland that I am an idiot who enjoys wasting his time. I'd rather suck up the loss and go back to pretending like I am a useful human being who is actually capable of successfully completing a simple exchange of money for goods.

Also, I am probably going to fail my programming class because the final project has to be completely done on the 26th and I can't even ORDER the parts we need to BEGIN building our thing until tomorrow. (who wants to lay odds on my having the order shipped wrong?) And if I fail this class (FOR THE SECOND TIME I MIGHT ADD), I can't start the Informatics capstone until fall 2008. I am just never going to graduate am I.

Woo. Life. Anyone want to trade with me? Didn't think so.

Uh, this isn't your fault. We filed a change of address form when we moved. This is the post office's fuckup.

Number two, talk to your professor if you can't get the parts, they have to make some sort of allowance.

I'm sorry I couldn't come down tonight. I'm very, very sick at the moment. Stupid Zelnorm. Listen, please give me a call tomorrow and we can talk this out. You need to not be so hard on yourself for things that are *not* your fault.

Change-of-address forwarding only works for a year max, and after that you're expected to properly update everything. So nope, not the post office's fault.

I don't know that we can't get them, I just don't know that we can get them in a timeframe that allows us to actually make a non-crappy thing (especially since I've JUST realized it will require woodworking tools that I'm not sure we have available). We've had a month so far, so probably the instructor will not be terribly impressed by any "we couldn't get it done" excuses.

I guess I'll call you at a more sane hour and we can talk about this then, but see, sometimes I'm NOT completely crazy and things actually ARE my fault.
