As you're aware, you're gone approximately 75% of the time, meaning that we, your children, must forage for food. I'm fine with that. However, when you neglect to tell me that there is no butter or margarine of any kind in the house -- and that, therefore, I cannot use one single one of the dozens of boxes of Pasta-Roni, Rice-A-Roni, etc., that you have filled the cabinet with -- then I become of the not fine with it. Especially since I know I'm going to get in tons of trouble once you come home and find that I've been forced to pour perfectly good milk down the drain for lack of butter to round out the ingredient list.

In conclusion, please at least tell me when we run out of the goddamn basic staples of life.

Actually, I think you can make that stuff without butter and scarcely notice the difference. Works with mac & chz, anyway.
