yam a sick nerd today

I wound up going to the health center, and the doctor prescribed medicine for my a-bit-too-frequent headaches, and it is of the drowsymaking. So I wound up staying home from a combination of pain and not-all-here-ness.

Of course, I managed to not call in sick till AFTER my shift started, which is probably the most boneheaded thing I've done in a while. But. I've never been that bright anyway, so it works out.

Most of the people who responded to this are pagans. PAGANS, I tell you.

Wrath of KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! vs Voyage Home? Easy. I've never been a fan of the time travel Star Treks. They always seemed like that was the writers' way of taking a mental vacation at work. I like The Future in my science fiction!

But then, Voyage Home had whales and Chekov getting shot and McCoy being sarcastic in a hospital. The post-prandial whatamahoochie line was priceless. "What did you tell him she had?" "Stomach cramps." It just doesn't get any better than that.

*pagans away merrily*
