yay for technology

They replaced the last oldschool greenscreen Bank One ATMs with newschool color-GUI ones while we were out of town. They apparently don't work very well. I went to take 20 bucks out of one, hit the touchscreen over the $20 fast cash button, but on the GUI the $100 button was the one to depress (there is another button between this and the one I hit, so it isn't just that I was mistaken and missed a tiny bit), and it gave me five 20s.

Sadly, it did not only dock my account for one of them.

Content to someday come, honestly.

Touchscreen ATMs kinda suck. I totally want the old ones back.

Yeech... digitizer calibration issues. Nasty.

Yeah, I definitely prefer the version with hardware buttons. (Granted, I have seen a handful where THOSE have gotten out of line with the screen due to bad monitor problems, but it's better than the whole GUI farging up.)

The ATM up the street used to be an old monochrome with that kind of monitor disjointedness AND it would take several seconds to respond to anything you did. Pure paaaaaiiiiinnnn...
