Wow, Perkins (Perkin's?) is so much better than Denny's that it's mildly terrifying. Business trips are for learning things!

Nah, this was the first time I'd ever been to one, and I had a DELICIOUS chicken sammich and a slice of pie. The pie was merely okay, though that may have been because they were out of the kind I really wanted.

I've never been overly fond of their pie, but I grew up on homemade. There was one near my first college, and they would let students hold down tables all night during exam time as long as they bought something every few hours. Much better than the local IHOP.

I shall have to try the chicken sandwich the next time I'm near one...whenever that might be.

Well, for the record, I just had the same thing (kickin' chicken with chipotle ranch switched out for regular ranch) at one of the ones here in Madison and it was more "pretty good" than "zomg nom nom nom". I blame, uh, something.
