Today at work, I was told that I would very likely be going to a conference in Boston next year.

My IMMEDIATE reaction was to get on Google Maps and see how long it takes to get from Boston to Providence. And then get on gchat and tell mecha that I might be traveling near that changeless, legend-haunted city.

There are things we do that need no explaining to the people who know us well, and it kind of delights me that this is one of those things for me.

(Although I'm not unwilling to give a hint. In addition to the one I already gave in the second paragraph.)

As someone who once lived between the 2 cities I can tell you that it's very easy to get from one to the other. The drive takes about an hour and there's also a train that runs between the two
