From the Elfwood FAQ:
"Q:What is the maximum picture size?
A: 100kb.
Q:What is the maximum picture dimensions?
A: Please try to keep them within a maximum of 700 pixels in height or width."
From the Elfwood rules:
"Keep picture sizes below 700x700 pixels, and 150 kb."
I have learned from experience that the wording of the dimensions question in the FAQ is a lie -- they don't want you to TRY to keep within those limits; you MUST keep within those limits. Ergo ignore FAQ and go from the rules. However, I've also seen people refer to a 100kb limit in their image descrips -- in other words, ignore rules, go from FAQ.
I've poked some of the Elfwood LJs a few times, but haven't seen an answer to this quandary -- of course, the answer might just be way far back, I wouldn't know, I haven't that long an attention span to find out. There is, however, no way in hell I am going to try posting the question myself. Not only can I not figure out which journal to post it in -- good method for getting flamed -- plus I can't think how to word it without sounding accusatory -- another way to get flamed.
Anyone know which filesize restriction is in fact the right one? Thus far I've been able to squeeze everything under 100 without too much pain, but I'd hate to send off something that was 101 and then have it rejected and have to resquish and resubmit.
