Nov. 9th, 2003 01:00 amJust got back from spending time in Indy at mechamom's.
Saw Matrix III on Friday.
Three words. LIVE-ACTION DBZ omg. (wait, is that four?) And... there was plot, too. And FIVE METRIC ASSLOADS OF MECHA, all with BIG GUNS. Live-action mecha-anime-type mecha! Live-action DBZ-type fighting! What more could you WANT from a movie?
Oh, and plot. Yeah.
Sure, it wasn't doing it for me for the first hour or so, but at some point it really started turning around. Overall? I likesd (<--not a typo) it. Yes, I know the general consensus is that it sucked, but you know what? Screw you people. I think it rocked. Mecha gives it an 11 out of 10; I'm being a bit more conservative, pegging it at 9. Might go up if I watched it again.
I have a desk, finally. Been camping on mecha's for the last four months. Sure, it's in a box in the car, and mecha had to shred the box to make it fit, and we'll need to cart the pieces up two flights of stairs individually since the box is shredded, but. Desk! And soon, maybe, monitor. This will be of the happymaking.
Mechamom bought me a pair of gloves and a hat. She says that I look cute and like a lawn gnome in the hat. These two seem mutually exclusive to me, so I'm guessing I in fact look only like a troll-like creature, and not cute at all. Makes sense. I haven't actually seen myself in it yet, though.
Bought the Big O season 1 box set at Best Buy. Aww yeah. Sweet, sweet mecha-fight-scene action, and delightfully complicated lies upon myths upon half-truths upon the truth of what's really up in Paradigm City.
Mecha bought me the fifth Dark Tower book, which came out on Tuesday. I'm I think 200ish pages into it. So far it's kicking a fair bit of ass. Definitely liking it better than I liked Wizard and Glass. Although I still disapprove highly of the cover art. WHELAN, GODS DAMN ALL YOUR EYES, I WANT WHELAN
And... stuff. I'm sure there's more. But that's what postediting is for, I guess.
