Little kids at the theater kept looking at me funny. I think they were wondering why a female who wasn't a dragged-along mommy was there.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! movie is pretty good, even though the poster sucks, and the animation is surprisingly lackluster, and at one point Anubis ignores a move that would've won him the game faster and caused the movie to end with the obliteration of humanity. But since he does not take this obvious game-winning move, he winds up losing and everyone does not die. (I hope this does not ruin the ending for anyone.)
I didn't like RHPS as much as I thought I would. There were a lot of things that made no sense to me... I realize that "sense" is not in that movie's vocabulary, but I still don't understand WHY the castle is even there in the FIRST PLACE, and such.
So I guess I'm officially not one of the Cool Kids. I like a movie marketed to card-grubbing kids more than I one of those movies that it's required that you adore or else you can't be all cool'n'groovy.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go back to hemming this black PVC vinyl so I can continue working on my portable YGO deck box carrying solution. No, I'm serious. See how I'm definitely not one of the Cool Kids? It's fun.
(I adore this song.)
