The power just went out, twice, for about 10 seconds and about 20. More than long enough to kill my alarm clock. ...and now it's out again. And now it's back again.

I am HARDCORE thankful for A) UPSes, and B) the fact that I had to get up at 7 this morning, which meant I was up right before the festivities started, instead of not waking up until probably long after class was over.

Note to self: procure a 9-volt battery at some point. For some reason alarm clock manufacturers apparently STILL don't believe in letting you run their equipment off AAs, of which you have a dozen; but it is pretty obvious that you cannot depend on house current to wake you up in the chilly hooray-for-the-heat-being-electric-too pre-dawn.

Because You Really Wanted To Know(TM).

EDIT 20 MINUTES LATER: Now it is out again and shows no signs of coming back. YAY DUKE ENERGY. Also yay for the smoke detector that won't stop beeping but that I can do nothing about. WOO.
