(Boo for strikeout not working in an LJ post title.)
So it being my birthday this weekend, and my being a software professional with disposable income (and thus, a class traitor), I've recently made two purchases relating to the pasttime of reading. And since the juxtaposition of these two purchases amuses me highly, I'm going to post a crappy cellphone picture of them. Also? Gonna use big words like "juxtaposition".

That's not a real 87-year-old copy of Weird Tales, of course; even if I could afford such a thing, I certainly wouldn't toss it on my bed to take a picture. It's a page-by-page reproduction, complete with ads for $3.80 complete collections of Poe and "Girl Photos" that are "Unique, novel and decidedly different", bought from the HPLHS. The Kindle is real, though.
And thus I was amused. The end! Now for Sims.
