Naughty giant turnips never stay secret for long. I mean, there's all that gossip about whose giant turnip it is, where it came from, and then there's the rampant speculation and rumor-mongering and eventually you have people trying to compute the growing season, accounting for local rainfall last year and hoping against hope that it isn't somehow their responsibility. Really just best to get it out in the open now.
