I didn't ask you, but I wonder if it would be all right to ask a question? I always soak my pots and pans with water for a while before actually washing them, because it breaks the grease up and makes it more clean. Why is it bad to do this? Even in commercials for dishwashing liquids it shows meaty dishes soaking, and it shows the grease being dissolved due to their magical soaps.
Does that mean I get to rant about my boyfriend's habit of plunging very dirty dishes straight into the washing-up water without even making an effort to dump the big bits of gack in the bin now?
