Never again do you have to forget to read the newest update. Or something. [livejournal.com profile] xidus is awesome for working this up for me, and whoever it was that suggested it -- [livejournal.com profile] spinninghead, I think -- is awesome too.

Also, today I learned something fun. When I was a kid, say 10 years old, I would devour my dad's scifi collections, these being from the late 50s or early 60s. There was one story that I have never quite forgotten, and even a decade after having read it, the memory of it still kind of creeps me out now and then. I even used to have dreams influenced by it.

Flash forward to today, where I discover that the above story was Lovecraft's The Colour Out Of Space. 'Cause I just read it again off Wikipedia.

That would be what we call "awesome".

Yesterday I got a yellow snail to take care of the algae problem in the frog tank. It's name is Dustin, "Dusty" for short.

Awesome. That's one of my three favorite Lovecraft stories.

Complete listing of all things Lovecraftian here. (http://www.hplovecraft.com/)

There used to be all his writings in html format online at a gizmology address, but it's currently not available. I don't know if this is permanent or not. It's linked through the above archives.

And finally,

Yay for snail dust being back!
