I just realized about five minutes ago that I had some meat in the oven. It had been in there for two and a half hours. It was, um, very interesting. And yet I'm eating it. It's actually edible... barely. With lots of ketchup. Pork shouldn't be this crunchy, though. It's just not right.

Bleck :-p I've seen some really burnt things in my life. Mostly while working at Stop and Shop. Do you have any idea what cookies look like after they've been in the oven for two hours? They're only supposed to go in for 15 minutes. They're not pretty. We take them out of the oven and the black smoke is just so dang thick. It stinks up the whole store. The manager comes from wherever they are in the store and asks "All right, what'd you guys burn this time". And did you know that some people actually like to eat burnt cookies?!?! I think they're some of the grossest thing this side of broccoli, but some people love them!

Ewwwwww... burnt cookies are NASTY.

Cookies should be ever so slightly underdone. That way they stay much softer. Mmmm... soft underdone coookies... *drools*

That's the way I like them too! Even a bit overcooked and they're just not the same. I did have a rep for burning cookies at work though. Pure accidental though. I often forgot to set the timer for the oven. Oops.
