My stomach hurts.
It HURTS.
It feels eerily, scarily identical to every attack I had in the months before my surgery. I can feel the acid rolling around in my stomach, I can feel it in my throat, I can smell/taste it every time I breathe. It isn't an odor, and it isn't a taste; it's something perceived almost unconsciously, but nonetheless very real.
But I shouldn't be feeling this way. I was cut open for the express purpose of removing the organ that was causing these attacks. And I've been fine for a year and a half. So why now are my innards suddenly acting up again?
Why now that I'm uninsured?
