I keep being too damn tired or depressed or just apathetic to post.
Anyway.
Getting a tour of your school's server room, walking amongst the racks and standing right next to where all the fiberoptic cables come together at the main switch: fun.
Coming home to the sight of a cop at the door: not fun.
Apparently the manager of this here trailer park thingy has a cat that she sometimes chains up outside her house. Also apparently, boy used to come pet it and leave food for it. Manager told him to leave cat alone. So he did, for a while. Then, today, he let the cat go.
The best part was mom arguing with the cop that there wasn't anything wrong with this.
Manager declared that because boy did this, we were to be evicted; 7-day notice. Then she reconsidered. Next time he bothers her cat, we get kicked out.
Needless to say, this did not make me happy. Boy had BETTER leave that stupid cat alone. Or I will KILL him. We can't afford to move. Never mind that we quite literally cannot find a suitable home in anything less than a few months of desperate searching (as we know from experience). Even if we did magically find someplace, we simply wouldn't be able to afford to move. Byebye, earthly possessions. Byebye, school. Byebye, Internet.
C++ hates me. I write a program, it compiles, I run it, and nothing happens. Blank DOS window comes up, and then closes. The very first line of main() is a cout. Nothing ever shows up on screen.
Isn't life lovely.
(hint: no.)
