I've done a week's worth of comics so far, for the comeback in May; another week's is inked, and bunches more either penciled or at least written.
The problem is that my scanner is b0rked. It never worked very well even when "new" -- not surprising given we got it used from some chick for ten bucks -- and now it's, well, not working at all. We might get it back to its former lackluster performance level, sure. But it's still a sucky scanner. [edit 4/22/05: nope, it's a not-working-at-all scanner. my mistake.]
Without it I have to take pictures of inkings with my digicam, then do a whole bunch of editing to make the image look not half as good as it would if it were scanned. This means that as long as I do not have a working scanner, I can produce only substandard Snail Dusts.
If you want to help do something about this you can gimme some money. One way of doing this is by buying stickers. Another is by simply clicking the button below and giving me the amount of your choice. I will also accept checks, cash, and firstborn children; email me for my address if you want to send one of those.
First priority is a scanner. After I've secured me one of those, I need to pay for my copy of Paint Shop Pro (although this may be moved up in priority as the day my demo version stops working approaches). Finally, if it ever comes to that, I'd like to get one of those fancy Windsor-Newton Series 7 brushes. Professional type comic people who ink with brushes swear by them. But they are like 25 dollars for one brush, so yeah.
