Fuckin' Oncourse.
Sep. 16th, 2007 06:10 pmHuh. That's nice. I went to bring up the page for assignment #3 for this one class, and on the assignment listing page, where it says when you completed each one, assignment #2 is listed as "Not Started".
Which kind of pisses me off given that I fucking worked for hours on it. And I did upload it to Oncourse. Only it's a known bug that Oncourse will sometimes eat your homework, and I guess it's finally happened to me.
Since it's a known bug, there'll be 12 assignments during the semester with only 10 counting, so technically I'm not screwed gradewise. I just completely wasted my work. I could've spent those hours just chillin', and it would've done me exactly the same amount of good.
(Mecha, before you get all insisty that I email the instructors about this, please note the bit about how I have already been given two freebies in response to this very problem.)
It's funny how I never seem to run out of reasons to hate Oncourse. PeopleSoft, too, since they're the ones that took years and millions of dollars and came back with something that eats your homework and locks you out if you try to make it display current classes instead of ones that are already over.
In conclusion, Oncourse sucks.
p.s., annoying spellcheck thing in the LJ update box, "Oncourse" is not a typo. Nor is "LJ", though it's hilarious that you think it is.
p.p.s. am I just high, or do userinfo pages sometimes have ads on them now? And when did that start happening? Weird.
