Okay, about the job: it's an on-campus deal (well, technically off-campus, but it's only across the street, and in a building leased or something by CSUF) where I will basically be helping admin go paperless. They need people to scan in stuff and index the resulting files. What's doublefun is that the program they're using is under development -- so I get to play with computers while simultaneously helping debug stuff. Anyone who knows me well knows that I love ferreting out bugs. "Hmm, I wonder if it'll break if I do THIS..."
Pays $8.16 an hour. Minimum wage is $6.75. Considering this is my first job ever and I've no experience to claim or anything like that... eh, not too bad.
Also, I found ness of paperwork to print out and take, that they want but that I no longer technically have. It should do. They told me it would. It was just a matter of realizing that a proper fee statement would not be found under 'Student Fees' on the website, but rather under 'Registration'.
Tomorrow I have a Final From Hell, and then I go over to College Park (the aforementioned offcampus building) to fill out paperwork and stuff, and then I'll officially be employed. Woot.
Meanwhile, I'm still connected at a measly 31200, but then, I haven't tried reconnecting for some hours now. If my good numbers are still dead tomorrow then I shall have to do something.
