Incidentally, for anyone who's friendsadded me any time lately -- I haven't checked on that kinda thing in a LONG time. If you're the type who only wants to friend people who friend back, you might wanna just drop now, because I don't know when I'll be getting around to checking journal ness...

Also, I might be cropping my friends list soon. I have 80 friends, and that's a lot of stuff to catch up on when I come home from work -- so I'm winding up just skimming almost everything, which isn't any fun. So. Just to let you know. If I drop you, don't take it personally; ideally I want it down to about 30, and that's a HUGE gap that a lotta people are gonna fall into. So. Yeah.

Incidentally, you could put filters on your friends list, putting categories for each group of people, such as one for communities, one for comic artists etc. (Though, am not sure whether you are actually doing this already - ignorance makes one dumb in the morning)

With filters, though, I'm still only reading certain people's posts. Dishonest to leave dozens of people on friends list if I'm not actually reading their entries...

I dunno.. I've occasionally thought of setting up something like that, and then having some people on my friends list because I consider them.. friends, without wanting to read their entries.

Yeah, but 'friends' is a misnomer in this case -- it should be 'people whose LJs I want to regularly read'. Only that's really long.

Golly, not counting communities, I'm at just over 30, and oftimes that doesn't seem very much. But then, it sounds like you have less time for slugosity these days, so it's hard to say.
