Arr. I swear I'm not dead. I keep meaning to post things and then forgetting.
HEre's one of the things. They are playing Christmas music at my work now. Constant. Over the impossible-to-escape sound system. All day.
Well, impossible to escape, except that only one side of the building actually has the sound system. The other side doesn't. Guess which side I work on? Bwahahaha. I don't have to hear the evil except when I'm waiting for an elevator or in the bathroom. I feel sorry for all the full-time employees who're stuck listening to the terror for nine hours a day on the other side, though.
There. AM NOT DEAD POKEY

Date: 2002-12-06 10:04 am (UTC)Sure, they've got a bunch of crap songs in the midnight mix, but it's better than elevator music.

Date: 2002-12-09 08:46 pm (UTC)Might be that they're expecting the customers to not notice it as much. I'd imagine they don't care much about the employees who have to sit through 8 hours of it. Do they blare it out the speakers at max volume over there?

Date: 2002-12-10 04:55 pm (UTC)We had to put up with the latter level shortly after September 11, 2001. 24-hour "patriotic" music. Basically meant the same 1.5 hour playlist of marching songs and James Brown's "Living in America" over and over and over. Egad.
Though, oddly, Living in America was still the most tolerable song when the whole ordeal was over...
