Aw... don't feel bad about it. I've broken bits of a fridge myself in the past. Gotta love that thing old ones had that supported the bottom shelf and could snap like a twig...

Look over the documents at repairclinic.com and you'll probably find that whatever went crunch is easily repaired or replaced.
