It goes in waves, really. I more-or-less forget LJ exists for a while, then I can't keep off it for a while. Then I set fire to people's eyeballs. It's quite hard to set fire to a nice moist eyeball.

Today at work I was smalltalking with someone before a conference call, and the subject of weekend plans came up. I stated that I was pretty much planning to vegetate and play The Sims. So far I have gotten a good start on that, by watching Gargoyles on DVD (when I was a kid I liked Lexington best because he was the nerd, but now I agree with mecha -- Xanatos makes that show) while trying to figure out what exactly my Sim needs to do to keep her dragons from leaving. Except now I'm a bit bored of playing the magic Sim, and am pondering either playing the Hicks that came with the game, or working on porting in my old multi-generational family of inbred redneck Sims from a previous installation of the game. I think I'll do that, actually -- it'll be probably an hour of "okay, did I get everyone's custom head skin in THIS time?", but then such virtual trailer-park fun I shall have.

Finally, since it came up in conversation about a half-hour ago and I SWEAR I am eventually going to get around to memorizing it, I am pasting this quote here as a NOTE TO SELF ALREADY HOW IS IT YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS READY TO WHIP OUT IN CONVERSATION AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE:
Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

This concludes your utter lack of meaningful content.

Mmmmm... roasted shuv.

SHUV! And show up on Trillian once in awhile! I miss you! Otherwise, I only have Mecha's word as to your present state. Which can sometimes be variable.

I'm addicted to The Movies, which is kind of a combo Sims/Sim City with a movie making component (you choose the sets, costumes, work from preset generic scenes but with sliders sometimes, and you can add subtitles or voiceovers; trying to find a way to lip synch to old radio files, which I know can be done). So I have to keep my stars happy, make money, churn out scripts, and find room on my narrow lot for that tropical jungle set. I bought the hard to find expansion pack so now I have stunt men and, wait for it.... defenestration scenes! Or one at least, in a Western saloon. Also lots of zombie scenes, a Santa costume, I made a movie involving a giant bunny stomping a city, and the new commercial street set has huge banners for a World Cheese Festival!!

Heck, if I can find a way to get an actor to look enough like Chairman Mao, I could *totally* do Toonbots the movie, minus dots and bots (no Napoleon hats, but there *are* Russian army uniforms and a monocle; sadly no wolverines either, but no game is perfect!)

Is it possible to share these videos with, say, random former megalomaniacs?

Also, oh yeah, Trillian. I forgot it existed. I'm kind of exhausted from working about fourteen hours yesterday, but maybe this weekend if I feel more sentient I'll sign on.
