Maxis is the guys who made Sim City, and whatever, and then got bought out by EA and made The Sims/2/3. EA, Maxis, and EAxis are all fairly interchangeable terms when talking about/complaining about/yelling at the people who did or did not program something particularly well in this game. But Maxisy faces just means that they have the face templates that shipped with the game, which are kind of ridiculously cartoonish and ugly at times.
