But I do know that Colleen looks very sad to not be allowed to find joy in anything, but rather to feel only fear at the idea that someone might smash the urn of her freshly-deceased father.

For the Sims 2 nerds in the audience: the only reason she has an extra want slot is because I tried giving her one with the Insimenator in the hopes that that would jar her empty slots into rerolling. All it did was make them show up black and locked.

At least she seems to have fixed herself a few sim-hours later.

This has nothing to do with the Merrick legacy, for the record. I was just hopped into an old, unrelated-to-anything house to test out some new downloads.

YOUR MOVE.

Also, yes, I keep remembering at the wrong times (like now, when we're about to go to get food) that I have a reply started and saved to my drafts folder. I also got an email from my mom about the same time, and still haven't replied to it, so you're in good company.

Oh, no, I realized there had to have been something called an inseminator for you to have used that term. The quotes were more to connote that the entire community that produced such a thing is pretty messed up.

Also, I feel like you're just giving me too much ammunition by saying I'm in good company with your mom, so I won't say anything.

"lol" is fine, since it really lost its literal meaning some time ago, much as one might not like that. The people I talk to online have come up with "lolirl" as a literal substitute.

Well, I mean, the original formulation was just to type those three letters, "lol", and that was the whole statement. I've never really used that except sarcastically, but I do say "such-and-such happened and I lol'd" in spoken conversation, rhyming with "roll".

I don't really think it ever had a literal meaning, since in the beginning you just totally know that nobody was actually laughing out loud when typing it. Part of why I enjoy using it only completely literally -- if I didn't laugh, in real life, at a decent volume, then those letters don't fit the bill.

I THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS, BECAUSE SOMEBODY HAS TO

Oh, sure, combine TWO "you're lying to me and didn't actually just do that at all, did you" sayings into one. THAT doesn't make me want to go on a murderous rampage that ends with all of humanity dead except for a couple of those tribes that are so isolated that they don't really know what an Internet is yet. Also that one lady in Middle-Of-Nowhere, Russia, if she's still alive.
