My favorite part is the last bit of panel 2. If you know me, you know why.

On the way home from work just now, some assbutt in a fancy-pants BMW passed me on the right because, I assume, five miles over the speed limit is just way too slow for him and his fancy-pants car; then he zigged and zagged past a few more people to wind up a whopping three car lengths ahead of me about a half-mile after I first noticed him.

Then, due to the vagaries of traffic, I wound up ahead of him, without even trying.

I was grinning and singing insulting songs about him all the way home. Suck it, BMW-guy!

This week I am learning/doing VB6. Good times. Also, outdated. Next week: ActiveX! And then some other stuff.

We just moved out of Candlewood Suites (the hotel where we were staying since July 1st) into Unnamed "Corporate Executive Apartment" Complex. It's two grand a month for a "two bedroom, two bathroom jacuzzi duplex" with all utilities paid. One bedroom is in fact a loft with the staircase to the lower level running through it; one bathroom has the jacuzzi instead of a bathtub, and said jacuzzi is broken; there is one wall A/C unit in the living room that is supposed to service two stories and 1800 square feet; there is not one single TV in the place that actually gets all the channels we're supposed to get, with each receiving a mixed subset of varyingly watchable quantity. In the living room, sometimes when you are watching Discovery then suddenly there will be ear-piercing static and then it will be E! for a few seconds! Other than that, no E! in the living room. I will have to go down to the basement, with its 55" TV that has a big scratch on the screen, to satisfy my newfound addiction to Joel McHale soupiness.

Also, my bed turns out to be broken, which explains why it hurt so much to sleep in it last night.

Unnamed Corporate Executive Placewithlotsofbrokenthings Complex is kind of a letdown given, you know, two grand a month (even assuming that electricity, water, and phone/tv/Internet would be 400 a month, that still leaves $1600 which is enough to get pretty much any two-bedroom apartment in town), but at least we have two bathrooms now, and also separate rooms for sleeping so that if mecha wants to watch TV during the night he doesn't have to just lie in his bed and be bored all night instead.

For the record, Candlewood Suites? Most comfortable beds on the face of the planet. And they do not skimp on the pillows.

Now, dinner.
