Mecha is at work. He locked his keys in the car, at work. I have a copy of the car key. All it takes is a hop on a city bus and I could unlock the car and save him from having to walk home like two miles when he gets off AT MIDNIGHT.

Pity, then, that I'm so useless that I can't even figure out the route maps.

I get so tired of being this way...

Aw, don't feel bad about that. It seems that transit system documentation was made to be functional only for semi-enlightened Discordians.

And I even sometimes get burned by it. (fargwit "short turn" runs.)

Yes, listen to the Tom. He is a wise bus-guru.

I would have made it home fine either way, but my boss gave me a lift, so it worked out extra-good. Plus this gives me an excuse to go to the mall tomorrow for videogame shoppping and pretzels.

Yum. Pretzels.

If this happens in the future...

don't know about your metropolitan area, but mine, at least, has a number you can call. You tell them where you're coming from, where you're going, and (when relevant) when you need to get there, and they tell you where to go when.
