Mecha just took Doyle into the living room to watch West Wing with him.

I don't think I have the heart to tell him that no matter how much West Wing a gerbil watches, it will still not turn into a liberal.

He's... a GERBIL. His brain isn't even big enough to support Republican ideals, let alone to allow for liberalism!

See, I think this is where your theory falls apart.

As you may know, Neanderthals actually possessed larger brains than their modern human counterparts. Yet they never developed our 'sophisticated' modern culture, epitomized by reality television and abortion clinic bombings. Which only serves to undermine my point, so I'll move on. Hi.

My point is, a larger brain doesn't necessarily mean that you have more intelligence. I in fact believe that Republicans have MORE brain mass. They need it more than we do; think about it. When a liberal reads the morning paper, they see a headline, say, that casualties in Iraq are rising dramatically, and conclude, "Gee, Whiz, invading that helpless country was a bad idea."

Of course, this only works if you have access to real papers. Most of which are written overseas.

Republicans read that same article with its same points and all-but-inevitable conclusion and say to themselves, deep down, "EEEEP! THE WORLD DOESN'T WORK THE WAY I THOUGHT! JESUS HAS ABANDONED MEEEEEE". Then, the section of their brain responsible for keeping them 'balanced', or at least, on message, performs some amazingly complex mental gymnastics to keep them from realizing the truth. "Oh, I know, this is all the result of, err, evil, liberal journalists helping the enemy. Sure."

See? MUCH more work for your brain. They need the extra mass. Thus, Doyle should be smarter than a Republican, because he does not have the thoughts to waste.
