   One day I decided steaksammich was the god of idiocy! So I built him a shrine. The shrine was made out of cough drops. It is, you must admit, a pretty idiotic way to build a shrine. Especially since I kept it on a wobbly shelf.
3. fight club:
   Because it's a good movie, that's why.
4. killing brian:
   Man, steaksammich is all over this thing.

5. mystery science theater 3000:
   Because it's a good show. Man, this memey thingy picked some boring ones, didn't it.
6. post-apocalyptic fiction:
   <3 <3! I love stories about what happens after almost everyone dies. When I was a kid one of my favorite books was Children Of The Dust by... um... Lois Something. Or Louise Something. And her last name started with an L too. So Lo(u)is(e) Lsomething. Anyway, last I checked you could not buy that book anymore. Sad. Oh, and there was one called I think Tomorrow's Janey, too, but I have never found any online evidence that this book existed anywhere but in my own head.
7. science fiction:
   Yeah. Rayguns and aliens are cool.
8. star wars galaxies:
   I guess I should take this one off the list, really, given that I haven't played in... uh... a while. It just got to be not that much fun, and not worth the money.

Man. I love post-apocalyptic stuff.

I know you're a Dark Tower fan, but have you ever read SK's "The Stand"? That's my favorite book. Definitely a must-read if you haven't.

(I hear it also has some sort of ties to the DT series, but that's just hearsay since I haven't been able to read that series yet... I'm finding the first book REALLY hard to get through, for some reason.)

Yep! Read it a bunch of times, and own both the cut and uncut versions. (to be honest, haven't read the cut yet. keep meaning to. but own it!) I am such a King nerd. And yep, ties indeed.

As for the first book, it is very sparse compared to the rest of the series. Lots of people say it really finds its voice in the second one. Me, I adore the first one, but recognize that it is pretty weird stuff.
