DEATH IS NIGH

So today is the official day that BROOD X comes out. What is BROOD X? Well, technically the "X" is pronounced "ten," and it's only a cicada infestation (albeit the worst of them all, with the biggest group of every-17-years buggies congregating helpfully around Bloomington as the center of this area of distribution), but if you overlook that then it's like something out of a sci-fi movie.

We went looking for their cocoon thingies on trees since they're SUPPOSED to be all over them right now, but we only found one. Alas.

emsworth (7:36:28 PM): Plus, by idolizing a working class plumber, the games promote dissent, leading to support for militant trade unionists and the seeds of socialism.

emsworth (7:38:09 PM): Remember all the fuss abour Marilyn Manson and such leading kids to become satanists?
emsworth (7:38:35 PM): I've never listened to such bands, but nobody ever argued that listening to Ride of the Valkyries from What's Opera Doc would inspire kiddies to become Nazis.

I really really want to draw but I'm too lazy. Have the image all in my mind and am eager to draw it and everything. Sigh.

It's more of my sickeningly-cute (aside from being fat and, therefore, automatically hideous) fairy types. But evil cyborg cicadamonsters are on the way once Brood X gets its swarm on and I have the chance to get me some source photos.
