Help pls:

Jun. 21st, 2004 12:41 pm
Yesterday I worked out in the garden center for a few hours. It was hot and sunny. After a while I got headachey. And dizzy. And my stomach started feeling funny. Most of it went away after I went back inside, but the headache stayed with me all night, despite my dutifully taking plenty of excedrin quicktabs (the only medicine that really does anything for my headaches anymore).

It's still with me now.

Am I still coming down off of some mini sun/heatstroke or something? I'm wondering if I should be getting a doctor's note for today, except I don't have much experience with the effects of working in the sun too long because usually when I am doing things outside and it is sunnyhot I choose to do the things later. Not really an option when you're on the clock. Man, the sentence before the sentence before this one was long. Essentially I don't want to be wimping out just because oh, wah wah wah, my head hurts, but if it's "I nearly worked myself sick yesterday and am still not better" then that's different.

I only have a couple hours before it's too late to do all the things I need to do to get to work today, so anyone who has good advice should reply fairly quickly. Kthx.
There were extras for today's comic. I forgot to upload them. They're there now. Sorry about that.
I wound up going to the health center, and the doctor prescribed medicine for my a-bit-too-frequent headaches, and it is of the drowsymaking. So I wound up staying home from a combination of pain and not-all-here-ness.

Of course, I managed to not call in sick till AFTER my shift started, which is probably the most boneheaded thing I've done in a while. But. I've never been that bright anyway, so it works out.

Most of the people who responded to this are pagans. PAGANS, I tell you.
